Throwing Weights, Shootings Hoops, Working Cattle: A Day in My Shoes

  Hey Guys! So, Keya Paha County, Nebraska, isn't a place many people know about...but then you go back and look at the history books. Some of the famous outlaws of the 1880s came from this place I call home. Keya Paha is bordered by two rivers, the Niobrara River and the Keya Paha River. In the 1800s, outlaws would use the river valleys on both sides of the river as hiding spots from vigilante lawmen. So, Keya Paha gained the nickname "Mobb County." Very fitting if you ask me. Now, remember I mentioned outlaws? So, two of the most famous outlaws from Keya Paha are Doc Middleton and Kid Wade. Doc Middleton was a notorious horse thief and had a gang of other cowboys riding with him. The law hated him, but the pioneers said otherwise. Doc would help the settlers out. Hey Everyone! Since I am going to go to college to major in Journalism and minor in Photography, I'm gonna change up the content on here a little bit. I am going to start posting pictures along with a little wisdom from my family, stories from school, or just some random thoughts. Speaking of college, I've decided where I am going to go. I'm going to go to Wayne State College to pursue Journalism and minor in Photography. On top of that, I am blessed to have received a scholarship from Wayne to continue my track career in college! I am super stoked about this new chapter of my life that is going to start unfolding. But, until that time comes, I'm getting through senior year of high school first, basketball is up and running at full speed, and before I know it, it's going to be May, and I'm gonna be walking up on stage for a piece of paper and a handshake. Life goes by fast; enjoy the little moments. Well, that's all for now. I've gotta get back to school...
