Few changes

Hey Everyone!

Sorry, I haven't posted all summer; it went by really fast! There were so many different things going on, and with it being my "senior summer", there was a lot to do. I've been trying to figure out what college I want to go to, what I want to major in, and everything else that comes with being a senior in high school.

With that being said, I have really thought about what I like doing and what I wanna do with my life. I've figured out that I love taking pictures of my surroundings; on the ranch, along the river, around my community, really anywhere I see a picture opportunity. I also like telling stories and sharing advice I've gained throughout my life. So I thought, why not tell stories through my pictures? So, I've decided to major in Journalism and focus on photojournalism, which is telling stories through pictures. With that being said, I aim to tell stories through this blog by posting pictures and sharing the stories I have been told, my own experiences, and the little pieces of advice I've received throughout my life, which will complement those pictures.

On a different note, being a senior is bittersweet. Yes, it's awesome that I'm on my last year of high school and that I get to go out into the real world next fall. But, I'm gonna miss being in my small community, seeing my classmates, my teammates, and just being here in general. Going to college in a bigger town will definately be outside of my comfort zone, which is good for me, but being able to come back home to small town USA will definately feel good too. This place has made me who I am and prepared me for going out into the world.

And I never really beleived people when they said senior year goes by faster than a blink of an eye, but I feel like we've only been in school a few weeks, but we started in August, and it's the last day of September. We've already had homecoming, and we've been in school for almost two months. So yes, senior year is going by fast, and it's only going to go by even faster as time goes on. Next thing we know, it's gonna be Christmas, then it's going to be Prom, and then graduation. So, I'm gonna try and soak up every moment, cause I don't feel like it right now, but I know I'm gonna miss it all. The Friday night football games, my classmates, those times when we laugh till we can't breathe, the basketball games, the track meets, everything that I didn't really think about. Dylan Scott really knew what he was saying when he said, "The good times go by too fast."

Until next time,

Karlene
